Hiro Kone在過去十餘年間活躍於國際各大舞台，除了 MoMA、倫敦 ICA 等藝術機構，她的足跡更橫跨 Berlin Atonal、Rewire、Unsound 等國際實驗音樂殿堂。她將對節奏、噪音與旋律的探索帶入各種聆聽情境，逐步確立她在當代實驗電子音樂中獨具辨識度的位置。她的聲音結合暴力的能量與情緒的紋理，散落的工業骨架劃破綿延的旋律皺摺。在空缺之間是震耳的幻現，你靜待自身被拆解，也等待救贖顯露最終的輪廓。
Drew McDowall 曾參與 Coil 實驗電子的傳世經典 《Time Machines》，也為多張重要作品留下深刻印記。從 70 年代蘇格蘭的龐克場景、80 年代的 Psychic TV，到移居布魯克林後深入紐約實驗音樂社群，他的創作持續穿行於不同形式的聲音探索。除了在 Dais Records 發行多張個人專輯，也與 Kali Malone、Caterina Barbieri 等藝術家合作，延展自身的聲音語彙。他的聲音以強烈的音壓抽離游移的張力，層層低頻自靜止的表面滲出，將不安沿著抽搐的質地蔓延：殘響盤旋、堆積，將屏息自空間中賦予近乎神聖的召喚。
兩人 2018 年合作的專輯 《The Ghost Of Georges Bataille》 曾被形容為一場聲音降靈會，早已證明頻率相通。這次在台北，你將親眼見證節奏、噪音與情感被徹底壓縮，時間失去刻度，感官被迫超載，一切懸置於震動尚未消散之處：讓我們一起與之同化。
台灣工業噪音代表 Cheng Daoyuan 將作為開場，最具態度的派對標竿 Katrina 則以弛放而不失挑釁的 DJ Set 接掌尾聲，讓整夜積累的能量在節奏間流轉，為這場傳奇交會留下餘韻。
Legendary British experimental group Coil have left a profound and undeniable mark on industrial and experimental music worldwide. Drew McDowall’s arrival brought a pivotal shift in the sonic palette and stylistic direction of their work during the mid to late 1990s. Industrial music first tore through 1970s Britain with Throbbing Gristle. Psychic TV and Coil, formed by members of the group, carried it deeper into mysticism, psychedelia, and experimentation. With Genesis P-Orridge, Sleazy, and John Balance now gone, both groups have fallen silent. Drew McDowall is the only musician to have been a member of both Psychic TV and Coil who remains active on stage today. Joining him is longtime collaborator Hiro Kone, a leading voice in today’s international experimental music scene.
For more than a decade, Hiro Kone has performed on major stages worldwide, from art institutions such as MoMA and London’s ICA to celebrated experimental music festivals including Berlin Atonal, Rewire, and Unsound. Bringing her explorations of rhythm, noise, and melody into diverse listening contexts, she has steadily established a distinctive voice in contemporary experimental electronic music.
Her sound fuses violent energy with emotional textures. Fragments of an industrial skeleton tear through the rippling folds of melody. Deafening apparitions emerge in the gaps. You wait to be taken apart, and for salvation to reveal its final form.
Drew McDowall contributed to Coil’s landmark experimental electronic album Time Machines, leaving a profound mark on many of the group’s other essential works. From Scotland’s punk scene in the 1970s and Psychic TV in the 1980s to his immersion in New York’s experimental music community after moving to Brooklyn, his creative practice has continually traversed different forms of sonic exploration. Alongside several solo albums on Dais Records, collaborations with artists such as Kali Malone and Caterina Barbieri have further expanded his sonic vocabulary.
Through intense sound pressure, he draws out an elusive, shifting tension. Layers of low frequencies seep through a motionless surface, spreading unease through twitching textures. Reverberations circle and accumulate, turning the space’s held breath into an almost sacred invocation.
Their 2018 collaborative album The Ghost Of Georges Bataille, described as a sonic séance, stands as a testament to their deep sonic affinity. This time in Taipei, you will witness rhythm, noise, and emotion compressed to their limits. Time loses its measure, the senses are pushed into overload, and everything hangs suspended where the vibrations have yet to fade. Let us dissolve into it together.
Cheng Daoyuan, a leading figure in Taiwan’s industrial noise scene, will open the night. Katrina, an uncompromising force on the party circuit, will take over for the closing stretch with a DJ set that is relaxed yet provocative, carrying the night’s accumulated energy through rhythm and letting this legendary encounter resonate beyond the final sound.
